Y10 Focus on Thinking and Creative Skills During Drama

Year 10 are working on developing their thinking and creative skills during our drama lessons. A large part of this learning involves class discussions and sharing our ideas.

A recent lesson started with each class member being presented with a card that asked a question about their feelings. Examples included: when were you last excited, sad or confused? Each student was encouraged to answer and explain their thoughts.

The next exercise focussed on improving our imagination. Pupils were given a hypothetical situation. One example was: your teacher has a big smile. The students were asked to explain why this might be.

The lesson finished with a shared story being created. Each class member was asked to contribute an extra sentence to a fictional story that we created as we went around the group. Some imaginative ideas were contributed!
