Year 8 Assembly Looks at On This Day in History

Class 8TC recently staged a school assembly to tie in with the start of the new month. Our December 1st presentation took a look at some of the major events that have taken place throughout history on this day.

This is a regular feature of our class tutorial time. The Year 8 students enjoy researching the date each day and seeing what has taken place.

Our assembly focussed on three key achievements: the first production on the Ford car motor line, civil rights campaigner Rosa Parks and the release of Michael Jackson’s Thriller video.

We has some very confident presentations from the pupils. All class members had a speaking part. A model of a Ford was passed down our Class 8TC assembly line as we all added a part.

The assembly finished with some skilful Thriller style dancing.
