Lansdowne School Council Update

The Lansdowne School Council is continuing to meet each week to discuss how we can make positive changes around our school. A recent meeting considered some ideas for the annual end of year school trip. These are all being considered by the school management team. We are hopeful of making a decision very soon.

Head of School Mr Jukes asked some of the Cllr’s for an update regarding their Newstart Training. This is a training centre based in Southwark that specialises in delivering Construction Skills training and Creative Craft courses.

We also had an update from one of the students on the regular school trips to Roots and Shoot College in Kennington. Some of the Lansdowne pupils are currently learning about climate change during their time spent at the college.

Lansdowne Sports Day was next on the agenda. This has been confirmed to take place on Thursday 19th July. School Council also received confirmation that our very first Lansdowne School Summer Fete will take place on Saturday 7th July.

Finally School Council talked about further improvement to our playground. The table football facility is going to be prepared. Mr Jukes also reminded the students about the arrangements for using the table tennis equipment during break times.
