Year 11 ICT Coursework and the Open Badge Academy

The Year 11 students have now completed their ICT Entry level assessments. The remainder of the term will be spent on improving our ICT knowledge and skills across a number of different projects.

The Open Badge Academy is a scheme that helps the students to prepare for their future careers. It involves taking online units that work towards achieving different levels. Year 11 will be taking part in tasks to write their CV’s and to prepare for job interviews.

The final half of the summer term will see the Year 11 pupils see how ICT skills are used in the world of work and business. This is a career choice that we hope many of the students will choose to make.

We have also had some fun using the toonator website. This allows users to create their own animation by building up different layers. The students have been learning the process to build up a sequence of frames using their own creative ideas.
