Y12 Work Experience with Planning for Sensory Garden

Some of the Year 12 students have completed their work experience with some in-house responsibility at the school. Our week featured many practical activities, including offering a valet car washing service for the staff.

The students also visited a local store to buy the final plants for our brilliant new sensory garden. They had a shopping list to help transform the space into a herb garden. The beautiful smells will add to the sensory experience.

This was an independent trip with adult supervision if needed. The Year 12 students were asked to manage the budget and deal with all the transactions at the till.

Our herbs have been stored away in the polly tunnel. The kind volunteers who helped to build the sensory garden will be returning over the summer break to plant the herbs.
