The Year 7 students have completed their Maori art project. We have used the artwork created by Maori people to help develop our own skills and sense of design.
Our learning started with some collage work. The class members carried out some careful cutting to build up a Maori style collage.
This then led to a paint pouring session. Year 7 were encouraged to experiment with pouring and mixing different colours onto a paper plate.
Once this had dried the final task was to create the Maori jewellery. The pupils cut up the paper plates to create a unique jewellery design.
