Life Skills in Year 13 has seen the students think about eating a healthy diet. We have looked at the major food groups to understand how they can give our bodies what they need to function.
The students have completed a worksheet to help them identify which foods are proteins, carbohydrates, fruit & vegetables and vitamins.
A paper food plate was then given to each class member. They were asked to cut out pictures of food and to put together a healthy meal. Items from each food group was needed.
Our lesson finished with a lively WII dance exercise burst. Year 13 have also been learning about the importance of exercise balanced with a healthy diet.
