Year 9 Guided Reading Progress

The Year 9 students are using their guided reading time after the Easter break to share their holiday experiences. The pupils have started work on writing a detailed diary entry covering the holiday period.

Class teacher Lisa has encouraged each student to produce an independent piece of writing. The instructions included a specific reference to writing in paragraphs.

Key facts from the long break have been documented. Year 9 were asked to edit their work and add in some extra adjectives to make their diary entries sound exciting.

Other class members have continued work with their one-on-one phonics learning. Adult support is given each morning to help the pupils develop their blend of phonics.
