Class 10SM recently attended the Soundpit for Schools installation at the Southbank Centre. This is an interactive experience that helps to stimulate the sensory needs of the students.
The installation was created by the artist Di Mainstone. It asks questions such as what does sound feel like, and what does music look like?
The movements and actions of the students trigger other activities. Music is created through movement around the Soundpit. It allows the class members to become composers!
This was a fantastic experience for Class 10SM. It helped them to make the connection between sound, vision and touch.
