Year 9 have flexed their muscles ahead of Lansdowne School Sports Day on 11th July. PE sessions have involved the pupils attempting the different sports that will be competed next month.
Our current focus has been on the standing long jump and the javelin throw. The class members are coached on how to improve their technique. It is great to see encouragement from other class members.
A time trial sprint has also taken place. Pairs of students competed against one another along a short course. All activities are timed and measured. The aim is to beat these when Sports Day takes place next month.
