Recent art lessons in Year 7 have looked at the French artist Henri Rousseau. We have seen how he is known for his colourful paintings of jungle scenes.
One of the tasks completed by the pupils is a collaborative jungle wall. All three classes contributed to this wonderful display in the Lansdowne art studio.
This work then led to the pupils looking at fauna and flora as a topic. The pupils used a printing technique to help create a series of colourful leaves.
This involved some careful rolling and peeling skills using printing ink. The pupils enjoyed the sensory nature of this activity.
