All Lansdowne students and staff came together for the end of term trip to Hampton Court Palace. This was a reward to celebrate another successful year of learning and teamwork at Lansdowne School.
Three coaches took us out of central London and towards Hampton Court on a slightly damp Friday morning. The weather may have been challenging, but everyone made the most of the occasion. We all came out smiling!
Class teachers guided their pupils around the many different parts of the Tudor building. Some of the students came face to face with actors playing the part of some of the Palace’s past Royal guests.
We were also able to have a brief look around the wonderful gardens during the few brief moments when the rain disappeared! A picnic lunch was enjoyed by everyone under cover.
Maths teach Mr Hilton was keen to keep the students learning throughout the trip. He set the challenge of asking the students to look out for any symmetrical shapes. Each class had a camera to capture these.
We would like to thank all the pupils for helping to make this a memorable day out. It was a great way for the whole school to come together and celebrate what we have achieved this year.
