The new Year 7 pupils are settling into the Lansdowne School routine during the first few days of the new term. Staff members are helping them to feel comfortable and to understand where they need to be for each lesson.
One of the major changes in routine involves PE teaching. The pupils have been shown the male and female changing rooms. It was then time for some team games as we get to know our new friends.
PE teacher Mr Howgate set up some simple relay races. Two teams competed as they ran down the gym to collect a cone from a pole. Some obstacles to hurdle over were then added.
The races ended with each team counting how many cones they were able to gather. It was great to see the new class friends being supportive and praising each other.
