Autumn term ICT lessons in Year 12 involve the students working on a range of levels and tasks. One of the pupils has started work on his Level 2 ICT Functional Skills qualification.
This is an independent way of working with each unit being completed during ICT lessons. The current focus is on slide manipulation when preparing a presentation. Techniques such as image transitions are being learnt.
The Level 1 Functional Skills learners are currently looking at composing and sending emails for a purpose. This is a structured activity that needs a purpose and an outcome.
We have been learning skills such as copy and pasting text, adding attachments and taking a screenshot.
A final group of learners are carrying out some internet research learning using Simple Wikipedia. They are looking at definitions for various online terms, and then seeing how we can use these.
