Year 11 are working on their art GCSE and Entry Level exams. Our current focus is on the use of close up images in art.
This work started with a photo walk around our school playground. Pairs of students captured close up images of some of the objects around us.
These primary sources were then blown up as large photographs back in the art studio. The students wrote short passages about what they could see in the photos.
They were asked to comment on what they could see in the photos and how they made them feel. This led to two favourite photos being chosen.
The next task will be to create an agamorgraph. This is when two images are combined using a folding piece of card. One or both of the images can then be shown.
