Class 10HW staged a timely school assembly on the history of Halloween. The students have researched their information during class tutorial time. We were surprised to find out that Halloween can be traced back to Medieval times.
Our assembly explained how Halloween first started as a Celtic harvest festival. This then became a religious festival and finally the fun celebrations that we know today. A short film selected by the students was screened.
This was a very confident and brave assembly from the Class 10HW students. Some of the pupils were a little nervous ahead of the assembly. It was great to see class friends supporting one another and working as a team.
Head of School Mr Jukes praised the students for their excellent research and reading.
