Year 7 are working on weaving as part of their textiles learning. Each class member is creating a colourful tapestry piece.
The pupils were shown how we need to move the large needle above and then below the metal bars on our weaving frame.
The students were given a free choice to select the different colours. A weaving comb was used to make sure that our designs were compact and tight.
This is a work in progress with some very colourful pattens being created. It also helps the students to develop their fine motor skills.
