Year 12 Design Wallpaper for Arts Award Coursework

The Year 12 students are working towards their Bronze and Silver Arts Award. A recent theme involved looking at some artists who use their talents to create wallpaper. We looked at the work of William Morris and Jennifer Argus.

Each student chose their favourite piece of work by these artists. We then recreated a similar image using different resources in the Lansdowne art studio.

Copies of our own images were then produced. These were tessellated together to create a wallpaper effect.

The next stage of this project was to capture some photographs of recognisable locations around the school. We then cut out the background walls, and replaced them with our own wallpaper designs.

This was a very successful project. Lansdowne School appears transformed with some unique and original wallpaper!
