Year 13 Local Shopping Trip During Life Skills Lessons

Life Skills in Year 13 has seen the students planning a local shopping trip to support the Brixton Food Bank. Students throughout the school are making similar trips.

Our recent visit started with a shopping list being drawn up in class. Year 13 were asked to name items that would be able to be stored for a long period of time. We considered what we could buy with our budget.

We then planned our route to the local Lidl in Stockwell. Class teacher Lisa reminded everyone that the Lansdowne FRESH rules still applied. These help us to keep safe in our community.

Each class member had a role at Lidl. Some pupils were given the task of finding the food. Others paid for it at the till, with some friends helping to pack.

We will make the visit to the Food Bank to handover the items before the Christmas break.
