Wonderful Lansdowne Winter Fayre 2019

The 2019 Lansdowne Winter Fayre was a wonderful success for our school community. We were pleased to welcome so many family members and carers into our school for a fun afternoon and to raise some funds.

Planning has taken place for the past couple of months with regular meet ups from a passionate group of parents and carers. Students have worked in class on their ideas for the stalls for the Winter Fayre.

Lansdowne School was a colourful place on the afternoon of the Fayre. Staff and students got into the festive spirit with their Christmas jumpers.

Each class took responsibility for a stall. The students showed great teamwork and organisation by managing their own area. Money handling and communication skills were on show.

Many stalls and activities were set up. These included compostable decorations, an amazing selection of food tech baked cakes and biscuits, art department Christmas decorations, a book stall, the Wheel of Fortune, Enterprise Club Christmas gifts, the Lansdowne Girls’ Group T-shirts and bags, face painting from the health and beauty students, a photo booth, hook a duck and the Santa surfer game!

The school gym had a lively feel with some brilliant DJ skills from a local sound system. The slush puppy stall was also very popular.

Our 2019 Winter Fayre came to a close with the drawing of the grand raffle. Head of School Mr Juckes thanked all students, staff and local businesses for working together. We are very thankful to the local traders who donated some top raffle prizes.

All money raised from the Fayre will help to boost the school funds. We are hopeful of buying some safe bicycles that will be accessible for students.

Many thanks to everyone who showed their support.
