Year 11 English Unit Award and Entry Level Qualification

Year 11 English learning is allowing each student to access the curriculum at a level that matches their learning objectives. Some of the class members are working on achieving the Unit Award. This will lead to a certificate being awarded.

This work involves the students completing reading and writing tasks based on a series of different topics. A recent session looked at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The pupils read the story, answered some questions and then recognised the main characters.

Other Year 11 students are studying hard for their Entry Level English qualification. The main theme here is generations. We are looking at terms such as baby boomers and Generation X. The students are commenting on the differences and similarities between generations.
