Year 9 Trampoline and Vaulting Skills

Year 9 are continuing to improve their trampolining skills during PE lessons. One of the current themes for our learning is to investigate different body shapes and how we can create them.

PE teacher Mr Lee has talked about the importance of safety when we use the trampolines. The school FRESH rules are important to help keep us all safe.

Each student took it in turns to add some new moves to their routines. Year 9 are working at achieving tuck jumps, straddle jumps, pyke jumps, half turns and full turns. Some of the more capable students were able to add in a seat landing.

Our PE lesson came to a close with a friendly jumping competition using the small school springboard. The pupils were asked to think about which body shape they could make to help them travel further once they left the springboard.
