Cricket and rounders are the current focus for the Year 9 pupils as part of their PE learning. A recent lesson started with some catching and throwing workstations.
The pupils then played a competitive game of rounders. They were asked to remember the rules, and also the tactics we can use to achieve as a team.
A large soft ball was used to make the game safe for everyone. We also used our maths skills to help count the number of points each team scored.
PE sessions end with each student being asked to assess their skills. They identify what they have learnt, what they have achieved and what they can improve upon in the next lesson.
After the half term break the Year 9 pupils will work on improving their dodgeball skills.
