Autumn term PE lessons for the Year 11 students are focusing on hockey and football. We are working towards improving our skills for each of these sports.
A recent session saw the students working well on their hockey techniques. Three separate workstations were set up in the school gym. The dribbling activity involves the students keeping close control of a ball as they weaved around a series of cones.
The passing workstation saw students partner with a friend. They counted the number of passes they were able to complete in a minute. PE teacher Mr Lee gave advice showing how to use a push shot.
The final challenge involved shooting. Students counted how many times they could shoot the ball through a couple of cones in a minute.
These skills will then put to great use with a game of hockey. You can see some of the pictures of the action below.
