Y7 Look at Story Structures with Jack & The Beanstalk

Jack and the Beanstalk is the current class reading book for the Year 7 students. Our English lessons looked at how stories need a beginning, middle and an end.

The class members have used adjectives to describe the characters in the story. We have created a mind map listing the qualities of each character.

A matching exercise has also taken place. The students have used some of the keywords in the text, and then matched these with their opposite meanings. We have also defined what is meant by characters, settings and plot.

Some of the class members have used colourful pictures to help retell the story in their own words.
