Lansdowne School is illuminated this year with the neon winter lights designed by our students. These were part of a project that Year 8 and Year 9 pupils took part in last Christmas.
We partnered up with our architectural friends from Squire and Partners along Ferndale Road to design their Winter Windows 2019 display. Squire and Partners then very kindly donated the lights to Lansdowne School to use for future years.
The original project started with a workshop held at Lansdowne School. The students were asked to think about emotions such as excitement, light or cold. These are feelings that we experience around this time of year.
Further sessions followed, including a site visit. Our work developed to include the themes of light and the human body.
