Year 8 are coming towards the end of their current PE football coaching lessons. The pupils have worked all term on improving some of the basic skills we need to become good team players.
Different workstations are set up around the Lansdowne gym ahead of each lesson. Recent activities included passing and receiving the ball with a partner, shooting at the target through a metre wide hoop, and dribbling the ball through a figure of eight.
The class members are asked to assess how they have improved at the end of each lesson. Worksheets were completed explaining which activity they found the toughest, what they can do to improve their skills, and how we can work together as a team.
