Year 9 are learning all about planets as part of our current science topic. We have been remembering the names of each planet in our solar system. We have also thought about the shapes of the planets. New vocabulary has included words such as spherical.
This learning is now looking at the difference between night and day. We have spoken about what is meant by AM and PM when we are telling the time. We have also held a class discussion about how light changes during the seasons.
The pupils are now learning about how the Earth rotates around the Sun. We have made a comparison with Australia and how different parts of the world have light and dark at different times.
