Telling the Time in Year 10

The Year 10 students are learning about different forms of telling the time as part of their current maths learning. We have looked at half hour, as well as quarter past and quarter to. These have all been shown on a large analogue clock.

Some of the students are converting analogue to digital. We spoke about concepts such as less and longer. The Year 10 pupils compiled a list comparing the length of time it takes to complete certain activities. An example is that it takes less time to clean our teeth compared to reading a book.

We have also completed some true or false statements relating to time. This work was finished with each class member using the traffic light system to rate the level of difficulty they had with the work. This helps our teaching staff with their future planning.
