Year 12 Vaulting Skills and Big Bikes

Year 12 are working on improving their vaulting skills as part of their PE learning. We use the school mini springboard, and then position some of the big mats to land upon.

We increase the height of the mats as each student gains more confidence with their vaulting. We have a very supportive bunch of students. It is great to see teamwork with each class member encouraging their friends.

The second half of our PE lessons usually involves the Landsdowne big bikes. The pupils get to choose if they feel confident to ride either a two or three wheeler. Everyone takes great care with safety.

A new addition to this activity is a short course that has been set up in the Landsdowne pitch. We follow the route around course. The aim is to help improve our breaking and steering skills.
