Maths Learning in Year 12 ahead of Summer Break

Our final few maths sessions in Year 12 before the summer break involved plenty of fun. The students have played various games that help continue with their maths learning.

We have a great selection of these at Landsdowne School. The students get to choose which games they would like to play with a partner.

The first task is to read and understand the rules. The games reinforce some of the maths learning we have completed this year. One example is the Pop to the Shops board game. Students use pretend money to buy and sell different items.

Another class member has enjoyed using the Farmers Market sorting resource. This is an activity that involves sorting different types of produce into the correct baskets. Counting takes place as this is carried out.
