Mark Making with Year 7 in Art Lessons

We now have a new art studio for the pupils to enjoy at Lansdowne School. This is a space where textile learning will be the main focus.

The new Year 7 students have started their learning in this area by looking at mark making. Class teacher Miss Line wanted the pupils to experience and explore how we can create different print patterns with a selection of varying objects.

These included straws, cork, pasta, wood, cotton wool buds, sponge and bubble wrap. The pupils were also asked to mix together various colours to see what the end result might be.

This is an early start to our art and textiles learning at Lansdowne School. We have many other fun activities that the Year 7 students can take part in in our fantastic new art space.
