Many Black History Month events are taking place around Lansdowne School. One of our annual highlights is always a Black History Month quiz. All pupils around the school take part.
Our quiz included two rounds this year. The first was the music section. We listened to twelve songs performed by some inspirational black musical artists. We had to identify who was singing them.
The second part of the quiz involved a picture around. The aim was to identify some of the famous and contemporary black historical figures. We also had a class discussion in each group about who the people are and what they have achieved.
