Y13 Bake Pizza Wheel as part of Independent Learning

The Year 13 students are working well on their Entry Level 3 food tech assessments. One of the aims for this qualification is to prepare young people for the world of work.

Our current healthy food topic involved designing and preparing a tasty pizza wheel. The students worked independently. They followed the instructions and a recipe sheet.

Some of the skills included chopping, slicing, spreading, grating and baking. Each student was responsible for their own resources and using the oven safely.

Our session finished with an evaluation. Class members were asked to imagine that they were the Head Chef. Suggestions were made about other ingredients that might work well inside a pizza wheel.
