Year 9 States of Matter Science Learning

Science learning in Year 9 is looking at states of matter. The students are learning to identify the properties of solids, liquids and gases.

We started our learning with a short introductory video. We were able to identify examples of each different state of matter.

We then looked at what properties each state of matter have in common. An example might be that liquid can be held in a container.

The students then worked through a series of written activities. They were asked to identify different solids, liquids and gases. We finished off our learning with an assessment to show the information that had been learnt.
