Basketball and Big Bikes in Year 11

The Year 11 students are coming towards the end of their basketball PE skills. We have spent most of the term learning key skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting.

We are now confident enough to play a full on game of basketball. The students showcased some of their skills during a competitive game in the school pen.

The players understood the need to find space. PE teacher Mr Lee was looking for evidence of dribbling with the ball, making a pass, and then finding a position to shoot. These are the core skills that we have learnt throughout the term.

The second part of our PE lessons usually involve the Landsdowne big bikes. We have been adding to our fleet recently. One addition is a wonderful inclusive wheelchair bicycle. This is powered by using the strength in your arms.
