Online Safety for Year 10 Students in Computer Science

Year 10 are learning about how we can communicate safely whilst online as part of our computer science work. We started off this learning by thinking about the SMART rules. These are an acronym that spell out:

Meeting up – always be careful who we arrange to meet online

Accepting requests – being aware of inappropriate content or links

Reliable – don’t trust everything you read online

Tell – speak with a responsible adult if we think something isn’t quite right

All class members completed an online learning activity. They accessed Google Classrooms where the work sheets are stored. They then answered some questions to help reinforce the SMART rules.
