Netball Skills on Show in Year 8

The Year 8 students have reached the end of their netball topic as part of our PE learning at Landsdowne School. We have worked all term on our passing and shooting skills, as well as how to find space in a game situation.

Next up it was time to put these into action and play a friendly game of netball. We started by having a recap of the rules. The students were able to explain how netball is different to basketball. We are not able to dribble with the ball. This leads to a focus on finding space so that we can receive a pass.

A very competitive game of netball took place in the Landsdowne gym. Both sides were able to demonstrate the teamwork and skills that they have learnt throughout the term.
