Shelter Making and Wood Chopping at Forest School

This week at forest school the boys put up a new type of shelter… it was raining quite heavily so we wanted a shelter that we could all fit under comfortably, and that would keep us nice and dry!

Our main activity this week was chopping wood using a bill hook and mallet.

Some of the logs were quite tough, but all of the boys stuck to their task and we all managed to successfully split a piece of wood safely!

To finish, we made some popcorn over the fire… delicious!
