Learning with the Lansdowne iPads

Our specialist autism team have been achieving some wonderful work with the pupils using the Lansdowne School iPads. We introduced this new technology for pupils with autism needs at the start of the term. The idea is very much to allow each individual student to explore some of the educational apps, and to feel confident working one to one with specialist adult support.

The iPads are not only a tremendous learning tool – they are brilliant fun for the students to explore! We actively encourage a free choice, allowing access to many maths and literacy apps that are available.

This is a resource that we will be introducing to as many pupils as possible throughout Lansdowne School. You can watch one of our students exploring the iPad opportunities in the video above.
