The Year 7 pupils at Lansdowne School have been using their ICT time to design and create some seasonal Christmas cards to take home and share with their family. One of the main themes during this first term of teaching is to help the new pupils feel comfortable with the Lansdowne ICT set up, and to explore different software that allows us to create publications.
Most of the students produced their Christmas cards using Microsoft Word. Images were either created in Paint, or sourced on the internet to fit a particular theme for the card. The pupils were asked to think about who their card might be for, and what their family or friends might like to see as a design.
Each Year 7 Christmas card was then printed off on double sided paper. A personal message was written inside the cards, before they were taken home to present to family and friends.
