Lambeth Achievement Awards Success

We recently held a special Achievement Assembly at Lansdowne School to congratulate the four students who have received Lambeth Achievement Awards. Harry J, Hakan, Samira and Mark were all nominated for this very special honour that recognises educational excellence in the borough.

The awards ceremony is held each year at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Hall. The aim of the awards is to motivate pupils through public acknowledgement of their achievements. Self esteem, celebrating academic standards, personal motivation and social skills are also important.

Students from throughout the borough who have achieved outstanding educational standards were invited along. The Lansdowne students were able to hear a brilliant musical performance from students based in Norwood. Students from Bishop Thomas Grant School gave some inspirational speeches about how we can all continue to achieve highly.

Harry J, Hakan, Samira and Mark were all awarded a Lambeth Achievement Award medal, as well as a presentation pack. This contained many resources connected to future learning. Photos were taken with representatives from Lambeth Council.
