Positive Progress on New School

DSC03677

We are happy to share once again some of the detail of the new Lansdowne School building as it continues to rise up from the ground at a rapid pace.

The L-shaped new building is on the site of the old school playground. Once we have moved into our brand new school then the old building will come down, and then be transformed into a fantastic new play and PE space for the pupils.

The main activity to report since we last took a trip up on the roof is the appearance of the concrete pillars for the second half of the school. The new floor is also in place and ready for the next stage of construction.

A second crane has appeared on the site. These are both used to help move the concrete around parts of the site where other access is limited. This work all takes place in a sealed off area of the school.
